And so ends another Trail Series. The route was very interesting to run - and the scenery so beautitul.I made a few stops a long the way to snack on the lovely mulberries :)Sustained a few minor injuries when I went through a thorn bush and had some trouble staying balanced on the rickety bridge, but other than that I had lots of fun. Thanks to all the organizers, sponsors and other runners that made the day possible!See More

"Hey Ian, the short course at Mountain Sanctuary...although beautiful was a little tough for me :) think it might have been all those big rocks. Thanks for planning the routes so that all runners get to experience the beauty of mother nature"

Wow what a route the weekend at Ilhanti. It was fun to run - firstly you had the smell of rain in your nose, then the smell of oranges followed by the sounds of rushing river waters. It was by far the best trail run in the series, I enjoyed it very much. It is a good thing the next race is only in two weeks time.......because my shoes need a good cleaning after running in the slippery mud and crossing the rivers. Well done to all who took on the challenge of running the XL route. Looking…See More

First GSTS race done and dusted - the route was very interesting.

It's a pity I forgot to pack my climbing gear - hehehehe, some of those rocks where twice my size :)

It took me a little longer to finish the race because I was concentrating so hard not to step on the moss.

After a while everything started to look like moss :) but it was still lots of fun and looking foward to Sunday's Race At Pelindaba.

Thanks to all the runners and organizers that made the event…
