Comment by Claire Davidson on July 31, 2012 at 10:20 Hi Peter, Thank you so much for your fantastic feedback! The sunrise over Cape Town from the top of the Nature Reserve was truly spectacular. We are really glad you enjoyed the race and hope to see you at the last two races of the Series (this Sunday at the Taal Monument & on the 18th August at the Kogelberg Nature Reserve, Kleinmond). Thanks again for your kind words!
Thank you so much for organising this great trail race. Watching the magnificent sunrise on Tygerberg was a welcomed benefit. The weather, the views, your team and the many like-minded runners made it another happy and memorable event.
Comment by Claire Davidson on July 25, 2012 at 12:43 Hi Gino, thanks for your comment and so glad you enjoyed Sunday's race!
You are correct when you say all racers are out on the course to enjoy themselves, so it's important to remind all racers to always be respectful and polite to each other when on the trail and value each other's experience at all times - trail running is all about the great outdoors and peace & love ya all ;)
Similarly, all runners are reminded of general trail running etiquette- in order to keep the sport of trail running enjoyable for all levels of fitness, please allow any faster runners to pass you (especially on the downhill single track). All runners are asked to please be aware of your surroundings and if you hear another runner coming up behind you, please move over to the left to allow them to pass on the right (like you would in traffic!)
Everyone's support in this would kindly be appreciated by Wildrunner and fellow racers! See you all on Sunday for another great race :)
Comment by Gino Serra on July 25, 2012 at 12:09 Race 1 of CWTS 2012 at Paul Cluver rocked. To the rude runners griping behind me on the downward angled single track of the 16km race, CLIMB HARDER instead and you'll end up ahead on the descents in future. Otherwise BUTTON IT until we arrive at wider jeep track below. We're all there to enjoy ourselves. Thanks :)
